Very fine dusky red colour
Aromas of ripe grapes and grilled bread, imbued with a strong woody scent
Fine tannic structure having conserved a great deal of freshness. A very fine wine.

Its 1996 merits attention: intense aromas of grilled bread and a frank and velvety tannic structure.

Appraisal:
Lovely sustained ruby colour yet still quite bright
A fine and charming bouquet combining aromatic hints of ripe fruit (merlot) and the sweetness of licorice.
Ample attack developing well on the palette, without harshness. Ripe and silky tannins. Same aromas rediscovered in the mouth. Clean aftertaste, very slightly woody.

Appraisal:

Dense dusky red shading
Aromas of ripe grapes combined with a fine woody scent, both of citrus fruit and vanilla essence.
Multiple aromas of ripe fruit. Good tannic structure but retaining fullness. Excellent conservation. Harmonious finale with a good tone, very slightly woody. Good wine that maintains the identify of its heartland.

Hints of roasted beans (coffee, cocoa,) and seafood
accompany the tasting of this fairly full-bodied wine.

Lovely 1998, pleasant-tasting with this persistent hint of smokiness.
